Howard Park Urban Renewal Plan

Established in 1979, the Howard Park Business Area Urban Renewal Plan was created to promote the commercial district within this community. In October 2004, and again in May 2006, the urban renewal plan was amended in order to create a disposition lot for the development of an approximately 55,000 square foot full-service market. The site includes a former Super Pride store, now vacant, and a mix of commercial and residential properties bound by Liberty Road, Hillsdale Road, Gwynn Oak Avenue, and Maine Avenue.This effort is led by the Commercial Revitalization Team.
