The Emerging Technology Center (ETC) is
a non-profit business incubator program, with two individual incubator facilities,
geared toward growing early stage technology-based companies in Baltimore
City. As part of the Baltimore Development Corporation, we promote economic
development by providing these companies with business, technical and networking
connections through our wealth of resources to help smooth their path from
concept to profitability.
ETC participants share space and administrative
services in our two incubator facilities located in Baltimore's Digital Harbor.
The facilities offer fully wired office space for technology companies in
an open environment at reasonable rates. Assisting companies to grow and
prosper is our objective. The participants have access to a full menu of
customized business and technical advice and assistance geared toward the
special needs of each individual firm. In addition, the incubator provides
an environment in which like-minded start-up technology companies can accelerate
their growth potential through partnerships, joint ventures and other collaborations.
So, whether it's a concept to evolve into a business, or an early-stage business
interested in being a part of Baltimore's hot technology community, the ETC
will help.
Companies
Although diverse in their products and services, all ETC participants
have one common goal - to transform ideas into market successes. The ETC
collaborates with each company to discover the right resources that complement
and extend their individual core competencies.
ETC Facilities
Our facilities are meccas for creative collaboration. The
companies that share our space foster the spirit of cooperation and the common
goal of market viability. The ETC provides facility-oriented services including
reception, infrastructure and support services, all in a vibrant, stimulating
space that cultivates higher-level thinking. The facilities include:
